Studies at the Icelandic Heart Association
Ever since the Icelandic Heart Association was founded in 1964, it has been conducting numerous studies on the Icelandic people. These studies have formed a foundation for the AGES study and the data collected in the previous studies will play a big role when it comes to analyzing the data from the AGES study.
To name a few of the largest studies, there is the Reykjavik study, Reykjavik offspring study and the MONICA study.
